by admin on August 9, 2012

Branding is all about selling yourself to the rest of the population. If you want to find the rest of the population, the social media has made the world become a “global village” so to speak. Everybody from every corner of the world happens to be on more than one social media sites and you making use of this audience are the key to selling yourself.

So you got all this audience, now the question comes what is your role in selling your brand. Presenting yourself is the first step to take in social media. Create an account, update your profile and let the world be aware of your existence. In social media you need to keep it simple and to the point, be sure of yourself and have focus. In other words be clear and precise.

Personal branding is all about communicating with the general population. As much as you can be a brand, you need also to engage yourself. Interact with others and establish your credentials, do not be self serving. Join groups and let people get to know you and you will have ears of a lot more people to sell your brand to.

Social media is all about interaction. Interaction does not mean you go online to rubbish others, repeating irritating messages. You should always look to engage in constructive dialogues and not engage in loose talk. Also avoid creating too many accounts in different social media sites. This is not good as you overwhelm your followers on where to find you and also chances are that you will neglect one. For personal branding through social media make sure you are reachable and up to date on the trending matters.
